lesson #203: the shoes make a fashionably late entrance

1. Black butterfly heels from... Bata! Yes I know what you're thinking. 'Bata? Ew.' But they really look not bad! And pretty steady too. One of my clubbing shoes. Despite their thinness those heels are sturdy.
2. Suede-ish Adidas with lime green stripes and pink logo. I love this pair! Nice to dance on and nice to look at. They look much better when they were still clean, though.
3. Brown URS slippers. Kinda frayed around the edges but I still wear them everywhere because they are sooo comfy.



4. Black glittery beach (?) slippers. Forgot I had these. Think mum bought them from Bali. They're actually quite pretty!
5. Also from Bali and equally as forgotten.
6. My prom shoes! Black diamante heels with gorgeous ankle straps from URS. They're a bit painful to wear for long distances so only reserved for special occasions. Though I did club in them once!



7. Denim heels, URS. Was on sale so only cost me $19! Forgot I had these.
8. Charles and Keith baby blue heels. They look so candy-like on display that I had to have them. Rarely worn 'cos not that comfortable. But I have fond memories of the purchase. Shall never forget that day.
9. Chunky Bata shoes for the Anything Goes musical. We didn't have to pay for them and we get to keep them. Cool eh?



10. Green X:odus wedges. Sooo funky and cushiony. Love 'em! Remember wearing them during the cruise. Those were the days...
11. Pink kitten heels, from God-knows-what brand. Very cheap and very blister-inducing.
12. Dance night heels! Will you believe we actually danced hip-hop in these shoes because we haven't got time to change? Everybody liked the dance though so that's all right.



13. Black slingback from X-square. Another pair of shoes with a (rather weird) story to tell.
14. Brown URS heels with ankle straps. Looks kinda sexy on. And quite comfortable too. I remember Fel borrowed them for her prom night.
15. White Adidas with shiny nude stripes. I forgot I had these! My first Adidas pair.



16. Charles & Keith brown kitten heels. If you squint you can see that the tips are quite worn. That's what clubbing does to your shoes so kids, be cool, don't club, and keep your shoes nice!
17. Tropical X:odus slippers. Nice eh? But the candy-coloured baubles are rather loose so I don't dare wear them for long walking distances.
18. Holey Adidas pair with baby blue stripes. These are actually cycling shoes but I use them for dance.



19. Bloch jazz shoes. Look chunky eh? But they're extremely good for turnings.
20. Silver Mary Jane's which I've hardly worn because they're uncomfortable and tacky-looking. Don't know what possessed me to buy them. I think it was last year during the craze for Mary Jane's. Oh MJ MJ... just go back to Spiderman!
21. Black leather slings from URS. Rather expensive, but they're the most comfortable pointed-toe pair of shoes I have ever known.



22. Black pointy-toed court shoes. I call 'em my Aladdin's. Bought them with Yang and Zhi. I made them go back into the shop so that I could buy the shoes after much second thoughts!
23. Black heels with slinky long straps from VNC. Seriously sexy and seriously painful. This pair means business.
24. My fave pair! Pink pumps from Indivi. I like!


And the rest...
25. Recently-bought maroon beach slippers. They were only $4 and I needed them to survive Asoc camp.
26. Red Sketchers trackies. Still functional but I don't think I'll ever wear them again. Look too chunky and big on me.
27. Brown URS kitten heels. My fave pair for clubbing and shopping but so much walking had worn off the soles. Sob. Found a replacement pair (No. 16) but really, it's never gonna be the same.
28. Nude beach slippers, spoiled strap.
29. Red beach slippers, too frayed.
30. White flats, too worn.
31. Wine glittery slippers, frayed to pieces.
